Ye three CouncilMEN can all go on, put this proposal to bed, forget the money and graft and move in favor of the Mayor, Mayor Pro-Tem, our County Supervisor, the County Sheriff, and even the County's District Attorney and most specifically, the Majority of the residents who call Oxnard their hometown. Hey, fellas, Wake UP! Election Time is not that Far Away and people do have collective memories to remember bungles like the one you are about to make when you over-vote our Mayor Lopez and Councilman Zaragoza, Mayor Pro-Tem. What will the Council do? Take the bait and swallow the money hook, or stand up for making Oxnard a quality city, not a western version of Atlantic City. |

The whole casino issue is becoming a battle of paper. The Sheriff's paper against the opinion of the Oxnard Police Chief. The DA's statement against the indecisive statements of three seated Oxnard Councilmen. The Mayor's statement against the hedged bet of the Oxnard [torture] Chamber of Commerce. The Statement of Our Area Supervisor, John Flynn against the claims of the Maidu reps and Paragon Paramours that casinos are good and bring jobs and money.
These are troubled times for Oxnard. A recall movement is afoot for the three pro-opinions of of the Swing Vote Councilmen who are against the wishes and wills of their Mayor Pro-Tem; their Mayor; their County Supervisor; their County Sheriff; and their lead law-enforcement official, District Attorney Micheal Bradbury.
May 8th is the Time To Show the Council how you feel {PRO -or- CON} The Oxnard Journal is against the Casino, but is welcoming ALL opinion, both in favor and and against.
