The Ox Jo wishes to pre-maturely present an abbreviated list of predictions for 2007 and 2008. Here goes: • No Sports Park at corner of Gonzo & Ox Blvd - just more houses • Big League Dreams is built - traffic is a nightmare at Rose, Bard, CHanISL_Blvd. • High Rises go up at old Levitz Lot with no traffic study conducted • Molina wins lawsuit • Francisco Romero forms citizen action organization and achieves national attention • Herrera will not propose adding two addition members to Council as promised during campaign • Mayor Holden will complete his term and seek higher office after a short break • John Flynn will announce retirement - Tim Flynn will run for and win his Dad's seat on BOS. • South Oxnard will explode in new housing growth • SCAT-illac Bus Service will not expand nor will routes change. • Airport will vie for expansion - some on Council willing to sell out Oxnard to allow it • No new schools allotted to handle unbridled expansion of housing tracts • By capita - Oxnard will rank lowest in open community park space. Sounds bleak for the most part doesn't it? - well, we just voted in the same Council that has given us what we currently have to deal with - why not just keep the list going with more plans and the same direction of the current seated Council.  It is up to you to make a change with what you have to work with. Should you want a new representative on Council on the next shot - please support the challengers with money, recommendations, word of mouth - and do all you can to help them. This year was pathetic in donations, forums, open meetings, and opportunities for the public to see the differences.  The Status quo wants it that way and Geo.
