YYouTube Video Puts Oxnard in the Spot - Light

Oxnard U-tUBE Star Lo-Boy is making quite a stir with his You-Tube debut of   L...Lo Boyyyy-This Is How I Bang.

Be it what it may - as in a GangStaRap video - it is a tribute to Oxnard's ambition to be known as a multi-media - multi-cultured community.

Aside from it's "female mongrels" and common every day garden tools "Hoes", this video is an eclectic mix of live actualities and real street video taking you from the stage of a front porch, east-side of the Boulevard,  to a melodic dancing and gang-signing action in strict succinct synchronization with a barbaric beat that excites the senses and reminds us of the harsh world we do reside within.  The alluring moves of white tee-shirted lads to the narcotic beat of rhythmic rap or rapture music, if you can bust a move, takes you to the sublime side of Oxnard's "La Colonia" where the beat begins.  Of course this beat can be enhanced with large woofers and sub-woofers, regardless, this video is fun to watch and extremely educational.

The initial stir in Oxnard comes from a major scene shoot (perhaps with permission) at a downtown landmark.

set was struck for this video at the landmark "Pat Holden's Liquor" on 'A' Street.....Didn't know the Hommies go there, but that may explain for the success of this long-time Oxnard landmark.  It is surmised that the current property is still retained by the Oxnard Mayor's family.
The Mayor's father, Pat Holden, was a pilar of Oxnard's formative years.  He grew the business featured exclusively in this video.

Holden's corner spot was always a good place to buy beer, wine, and fine liquors and now it appears to be on its way to another form of landmark status, that of being featured a mere 340,000 + times already world-wide, in LA and in the OX..

The Ox-Jo would like to know the significance of hanging sneakers from power-lines.

Will calling my Boss "Gangsta Poke" get me in good with him and his Boss?

I am hoping that I can avoid being a "whussy that rolls up and does a 'Fly By' without offering at least a "Haley-Rah".   You'll hear this in the first 30-seconds of the vidi-upload.  Budweiser is prominent throughout - but the two main characters of the video procure a bottle of light-blue liquer known as "Hypnotic" which is contrivance of massive euphorication which is not akin to Budweiser or even beer.  Along with the 'Bud' there are some serious 'buds', or "Chronic" as the term goes for the hyper-THC-content smoke which is artfully exhibited in the story-line.  It's all good in the hood and the video gives you hints on how to survive.

Lesson One:  Don't do Hand Signs
Lesson Two:  Obey Lesson One
Lesson Three:  Be Cool ...it's all good in the hood.

I understand the sneakers indicate the availability of something one usually sought in the A Street alley.  It's all good in da 'hood.

The Ox Jo can't immediately post your comment on this video - but I will post all e-mails.  So please send your thots on this viddy.

We are waiting for you to 'plost' back. .... so hit us up -

In Da Hood.
