TODAY - I - WOMAN .....

Today, I a woman serve notice on the world!

Wake-up , it is not the year 1950

It is nearly the year 2000 and 2!

You cannot raise your children, without knowing todays date and year!

Today, I a woman serve notice on the world!

You have to talk to children about all kinds of things

Guns, drugs, alcohol, child abuse, bad touches, and violence

Abuse, hate crimes, racist, religion, and yes even about real love.

Today, I a woman serve notice on the world!

If you are a mother of a child today and live in an abusive lifestyle.

You have to raise up and get out of there, do not fear poverty.

Women have lived under poverty and raised fine children with good memories.

Today, I a woman serve notice on the world!

If you are a terrorist, rapist, racist or any other ist

You do not have the right to down my child or any other child

Do you hear me, their bodies are not to be touched nor their minds

Today, I a woman serve notice on the world!

I am a mother, who suckled that child over her heart.

I am the aunt who babysat and played with that child

I am the sister who came to you in the night.

Today, I a woman serve notice on the world!

And I damn you with all the hate in my heart if you harm mine

I care not for your religion or cause that takes my child from my arms

Today I shed no tears as they hunt you down.

Today, I a woman serve notice on the world!

I care less if you are white, black, brown, red, or yellow

Man or woman, priest or sinner, master or slave

I deny you, I wish you dead, I turn my back on you.

Today I a woman serve notice on the world!

That child is mine to protect, stay back or know real hatred!

No more. No more. No more. No more.

Comment:

what follows below is from a letter in the opinion section of the Ventura Star.

President Bush should have the courage to lead and accept the Palestinian declared objectives: to have a sovereign and independent Palestinian state in all of the West Bank and Gaza, a capital in Jerusalem and the return of refugees to these territories. The Palestinians are fighting a war of liberation for a limited territory, not all of pre-1948 Palestine. There can be no compromise on Jerusalem, refugees and full statehood. Palestinians are not an extinct race and the American leadership should understand what they are going through day after day. Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and the Israelis should be put on notice that aspirations for a state beyond the green line are detrimental to Palestinian interests. The Americans should know that the Palestinians have entered the final stretch of national liberation and there is no room for ambiguity. The political end -- statehood -- must overcome and absorb the increasingly unruly obsession with armed struggle.

After reading these words. And after the US government was dragged into the middle eastern conflict. I began reading all that I could find on the subject. I just thought that it could be worked out in time. Now I finally feel able to speak to the above words. The Palestinians I believe are a race of people who are totally intolerant to other people. While we have been taught to celebrate the differences in people they have not. They demand the capitol city of Jerusalem. That city is the center of Christian, Jew and the Muslim religions. The Jews and Christians though not always willing have shared the city for some time. The Palestine and other Muslims have no plan for those other religions. So based on that and their wiliness to sacrifice young lives (funny it's never the old fat men who have lived less than saintly lives who demand the sacrifices of the young men) or some rich bastard, who stands far away in some safe place never knowing the fear of those men last minutes. It is always the poor young men who were raised on the milk of hate from old dried hard women who are beaten down by those same sick men. Yes now I know why Muslims who have no tolerance must not be allowed land - statehood or to even exist. I know that not all Muslims believe the same thing. It is only those who are raised on hate, in the most extreme of conditions, who should fail in their plans and efforts. Those teach a totally corrupt version of the Quaran (I read that book 5 years ago and saw none of the things that they say is in there about hate.) I have also checked with people of the American Muslim religion in case I had missed something. They have told me that the version of hate that is taught by the small radical groups is just as wrong as the what some Christian fanatics have believed, that caused mass deaths. So now I see that we must rid the earth of this corrupt version of the Muslim religion. I applaud those of Arab and Muslim blood who have shown their support of the America and and believe in what America stands for. Religious freedom for all and access to the holy places for all and nothing else should be allowed or tolerated. That the hateful religion and actions should be removed from society and never allowed to flourish is the only course of action for America and Americans and others of the world who want peace and want religious freedom for all whether in Israel, Palestine, Afghanistan, Egypt, India, Saudi, Pakistan, and other points of the compass.

"When despair for the world grows in me and I wake in the night at the least sound in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be, I go and lie down where the wood drake rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.

=-=-=-=-=

I come into the peace of wild things who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief. I come into the presence of still water.

And I feel above me the day-blind stars waiting with their light. For a time

I rest in the grace of the world, and am free."

Wendell Berry, The Peace of Wild Things

A friend of mine sent me the question below, well i had to know if it was true. So, I wrote to a former co-worker who is the mule deer expert of the US government. His answer is below the question, and now you know, hahahaha.

 Subject: Reindeer

According to the Alaska Department of Fish and game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year (the only members of the deer family, Cervidae, to have females do so), male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid December. Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring. Therefore, according to every historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, every single one of them, from Rudolf to Blitzen........had to be a girl. We should've known. Only women would be able to drag a fatman in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night, and not get lost.

Yes, the account below is true. Both sexes of reindeer ("caribou") do have antlers (males are larger size than females). The males shed their antlers during the rut or right after which is in October and November and the females retain their antlers through the winter and often shed them about calving time in May/early June.

There is no arguing that Santas reindeer are likely females.

Take all American women who are within five years of menopause - train us for a few weeks, outfit us with automatic weapons, grenades, gas masks, moisturizer with SPF15, Prozac, hormones, chocolate, and canned tuna - drop us (parachuted, preferably) across the landscape of Afghanistan, and let us do what comes naturally.

Think about it. Our anger quotient alone, even when doing standard stuff like grocery shopping and paying bills, is formidable enough to make even armed men in turbans tremble.

We've had our children, we would gladly suffer or die to protect them and their future. We'd like to get away from our husbands, if they haven't left already. And for those of us who are single, the prospect of finding a good man with whom to share life is about as likely as being struck bylightning. We have nothing to lose.

We've survived the water diet, the protein diet, the carbohydrate diet, and the grapefruit diet in gyms and saunas across America and never losta pound. We can easily survive months in the hostile terrain ofAfghanistan with no food at all!

We've spent years tracking down our husbands or lovers in bars, hardware stores, or sporting events...finding bin Laden in some cave will be no problem.

Uniting all the warring tribes of Afghanistan in a new government? Oh, please ... we've planned the seating arrangements for in-laws and extended families at Thanksgiving dinners for years ... we understand tribal warfare.

Between us, we've divorced enough husbands to know every trick there is for how they hide, launder, or cover up bank accounts and money sources. We know how to find that money and we know how to seize it ... with or without the government's help!

Let us go and fight. The Taliban hates women. Imagine their terror as we crawl like ants with hot-flashes over their godforsaken terrain.

That's right! My new CD, which is also called Epicenter, is now available. You can buy it at ANY gig or you can use the order form at JosephLuna.com/music <http://www.josephluna.com/music> .

Hi. You don't know me, but my sister Debbie K. sent me a copy of your letter.I am so sorry for all those innocent people that were killed & for their families and loved ones. It's hard to comprehend the sorrow & sadness bestowed upon all those people. Will we ever be normal again? I cried for hours while watching all the news casts & still find it so hard to believe. I personally want to see vengance cast upon the evil, vile people responsible for this. But my husband is always trying to get me see that the cup is half FULL & I have found some good from this. Like yesterday when my hair wouldn't go just right & I was getting upset, then I stopped & thought about all those people in NY, My grandson got a hold of a marker & marked on the wall, I again started to get upset, then I thought about all those innocent people in NY. See what I'm trying to say here, I will try not to get upset about trivial things again. Like the saying goes "Don't sweat the small stuff". It was hard for me to stop & think that there is greater issues out there. My heart & prayers go out to all those devastated by this awful act. I pray that they find an inner peace and that their hearts will someday have their sorrow eased. I can only imagine the magnitude of their sorrow, and I'm not sure if I could withstand it, myself. I thank God everyday for my grandson & my husband & I couldn't handle if something were to happen to either one of them. I, too thanked God for it not happening near or on me and my family, is that selfish and wrong? There is a song sung be Lee Greenwood (country), that says alot that we should all heed, God Bless the USA, what an awesome song. I hope that everyone hears it. They are playing it almost every hour here on my station and when I heard it before it made me kind of sit up taller, but now it brings me to tears for the pride I feel. Some of the words are; Proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free & I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me & I'd gladly stand up next to you & defend her still today, GOD BLESS THE USA. I wish I had all the words to send to everyone, I'll work on it, it is too great.

Well life is to go on & I have to get my grandson up & get myself ready for work. I feel like I should do more to help out in this terrible time, I've already donated blood & money, but it just doesn't feel like enough. I want to ease someones sorrow, I sure wish I had magic words to make that a reality. I want to take away all the pain & sorrow, but I know that all I can do is my small part. I'm praying to God harder than I've ever prayed before to ease the pain of all those hurting people. Maybe if enough of us can do that then it will subside sooner for them, all we can do is pray. GOD BLESS YOU AND EVERY AMERICAN OUT THERE! PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN - - WHERE AT LEAST I KNOW I'M FREE=MAY GOD BE WITH YOU ALL - - - ALL MY LOVE PRAYERS

KEEP THIS MOVING ACROSS AMERICA HONORING A TRAITOR

This is for all the kids born in the 70's that do not remember this, and didn't have to bear the burden, that our fathers, mothers, and older brothers and sisters had to bear.Jane Fonda is being honored as one of the "100 Women of the Century." Unfortunately, many have forgotten and still countless others have never known how Ms. Fonda betrayed not only the idea of our country but specific men who served and sacrificed during Vietnam.

The first part of this is from an F-4E pilot. The pilot's name is Jerry Driscoll, a River Rat. In 1978, the former Commandant of the USAF Survival School was a POW in Ho Lo Prison-the "Hanoi Hilton." Dragged from a stinking cesspit of a cell, cleaned, fed, and dressed in clean PJs, he was ordered to describe for a visiting American "Peace Activist" the "lenient and humane treatment" he'd received. He spat at Ms. Fonda, was clubbed, and dragged away.

During the subsequent beating, he fell forward upon the camp Commandant's feet, which sent that officer berserk. In '78, the AF Col. still suffered from double vision (which permanently ended his flying days) from the Vietnamese Col.'s frenzied application of a wooden baton. From 1963-65, Col. Larry Carrigan was in the 47FW/DO (F-4Es). He spent 6 -years in the "Hilton"- the first three of which he was "missing in action". His wife lived on faith that he was still alive. His group, too, got the cleaned, fed, clothed routine in preparation for a "peace delegation" visit.

They, however, had time and devised a plan to get word to the world that they still survived. Each man secreted a tiny piece of paper, with his SSN on it, in the palm of his hand. When paraded before Ms. Fonda and a cameraman, she walked the line, shaking each man's hand and asking little encouraging snippets like: "Aren't you sorry you bombed babies?" and "Are you grateful for the humane treatment from your benevolent captors?" Believing this HAD to be an act, they each palmed her their sliver of paper.

She took them all without missing a beat. At the end of the line and once the camera stopped rolling, to the shocked disbelief of the POWs, she turned to the officer in charge and handed him the little pile of papers. Three men died from the subsequent beatings. Col. Carrigan was almost number four but he survived, which is the only reason we know about her actions that day.

I was a civilian economic development advisor in Vietnam, and was captured by the North Vietnamese communists in South Vietnam in 1968, and held for over 5 years. I spent 27 months in solitary confinement, one year in a cage in Cambodia, and one year in a "black box" in Hanoi. My North Vietnamese captors deliberately poisoned and murdered a female missionary, a nurse in a leprosarium in Ban me Thuot, South Vietnam, whom I buried in the jungle near the Cambodian border.

At one time, I was weighing approximately 90 lbs. (My normal weight is 170 lbs.) We were Jane Fonda's "war criminals."

When Jane Fonda was in Hanoi, I was asked by the camp communist political officer if I would be willing to meet with Jane Fonda. I said yes, for I would like to tell her about the real treatment we POWs received different from the treatment purported by the North Vietnamese, and parroted by Jane Fonda, as "humane and lenient." Because of this, I spent three days on a rocky floor on my knees with outstretched arms with a large amount of steel placed on my hands, and beaten with a bamboo cane till my arms dipped.

I had the opportunity to meet with Jane Fonda for a couple of hours after I was released. I asked her if she would be willing to debate me on TV. She did not answer me.

This does not exemplify someone who should be honored as part of "100 Years of Great Women." Lest we forget..."100 years of great women" should never include a traitor whose hands are covered with the blood of so many patriots. There are few things I have strong visceral reactions to, but Hanoi Jane's participation in blatant treason, is one of them.

Please take the time to forward to as many people as you possibly can. It will eventually end up on her computer and she needs to know that we will never forget

This was written by Ted Nugent, the rock singer and hunter/naturalist, upon hearing that California Democratic Senators B. Boxer and D. Feinstein denounced him for being a "gun owner" and a "Rock Star". This was his response after telling the senators about his past contributions to children's charities and scholarship foundations, which have totaled more than $13.7 million in the last 5 years!!

I'm a Bad American-this pretty much sums it up for me. I like big trucks, big boats, big houses, and naturally, pretty women. I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some midlevel governmental functionary with a bad comb-over who wants to give it away to crack addicts squirting out babies. I don't care about appearing compassionate. I think playing with toy guns doesn't make you a killer. I believe ignoring your kids and giving them Prozac might. I think I'm doing better than the homeless. I don't think being a minority makes you noble or victimized. I have the right not to be tolerant of others because they are different, weird or make me mad. This is my life to live, and not necessarily up to others expectations. I know what SEX is and there are not varying degrees of it. I don't celebrate Kwanzaa. But if you want to that's fine; I just don't feel like everyone else should have to. I believe that if you are selling me a Dairy Queen shake, a pack of cigarettes, or hotel room you do it in English. As of matter of fact, if you are an American citizen you should speak English. My uncles and forefathers shouldn't have had to die in vain so you can leave the countries you were born in to come disrespect ours, and make us bend to your will. Get over it. I think the cops have every right to shoot your sorry butt if you're running from them after they tell you to stop. If you can't understand the word 'freeze' or 'stop' in English, see the previous line. I don't use the excuse "it's for the children" as a shield for unpopular opinions or actions. I know how to count votes and I feel much safer letting a machine with no political affiliation do a recount when needed. I know what the definition of lying is, and it isn't based on the word "is" - ever. I don't think just because you were not born in this country, you qualify for any special loan programs, gov't sponsored bank loans, etc., so you can open a hotel, 7-Eleven, trinket shop, or any thing else, while the indigenous peoples can't get past a high school education because they can't afford it. I didn't take the initiative in inventing the Internet. I thought the Taco Bell dog was funny. I want them to bring back safe and sane fireworks. I believe no one ever died because of something Ozzy Osbourne, Ice-T or Marilyn Manson sang, but that doesn't mean I want to listen to that crap from someone else's car when I'm stopped at a red light. But I respect your right to. I think that being a student doesn't give you any more enlightenment than working at Blockbuster or Jack In The Box. I don't want to eat or drink anything with the words light, lite or fat-free on the package. Our soldiers did not go to some foreign country and risk their lives in vain and defend our Constitution so that decades later you can tell me it's a living document ever changing and is open to interpretation. The guys who wrote it were light years ahead of anyone today, and they meant what they said - now leave the document alone, or there's going to be trouble. I don't hate the rich. I help the poor. I know wrestling is fake. I've never owned, or was a slave, and a large percentage of our forefathers weren't wealthy enough to own one either. Please stop blaming me because some prior white people were idiots - and remember, tons of white, Indian, Chinese, and other races have been enslaved too - it was wrong for every one of them. I believe a self-righteous liberal Democrat with a cause is more dangerous than a Hell's Angel with an attitude. I want to know exactly which church is it where the "Reverend" Jessie Jackson preaches; and, what exactly is his job function. I own a gun, you can own a gun, and any red blooded American should be allowed to own a gun, but if you use it in a crime, then you will serve the time. I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and continue to make more. If it makes you mad, then invent the next operating system that's better and put your name on the building. Ask your buddy that invented the Internet to help you. I don't believe in hate crime legislation. Even suggesting it makes me mad. You're telling me that someone who is a minority, gay, disabled, another nationality, or otherwise different from the mainstream of this country has more value as a human being that I do as a white male. If someone kills anyone, I'd say that it's a hate crime. We don't need more laws! Let's enforce the ones we already have. I think turkey bacon, turkey beef, turkey fake anything sucks. I believe that it doesn't take a village to raise a child- it takes a parent with the guts to stand up to the kid and spank his butt and say "NO!" when it's necessary to do so. I'll admit that the only movie that ever made me cry was Ole Yeller. I didn't realize Dr. Seuss was a genius until I had a kid. I will not be frowned upon or be looked down upon or be made to keep silent because I have these beliefs and opinions. I thought this country allowed me that right. I will not conform or compromise just to keep from hurting somebody's feelings. I'm neither angry nor disenfranchised, no matter how desperately the mainstream media would like the world to believe otherwise. Yes, I guess by some people's definition, I may be a bad American. But that's tough.
