The USS AMERICA (CVA-66)::   This Picture was taken while the aircraft carrier USS AMERICA was deployed in the Mediterranean Sea.   This Picture was handed out to civilian guests in Naples, Taranto, and Gaeta Italy and was going to be   distributed to more folks in other ports of call. Only one Problem. If you look at the middle of the flight deck, you will see an elevator open. AVORD folks will know what's going on.   A nuclear missle is being transported across the deck. When this minor Boo-Boo was discovered,   this picture was pulled from circulation and no longer handed out. However, to date, this picture   has appeared in various Training Publications and was used widely by CNET (Chief of Naval   Education and Training) out of Pensacola where the training materials are produced.   Somewhere in Napoli, another one of these pictures hangs over a pizza oven.....
